In India's urban slums, thousands of children are getting a new chance. Our evangelists teach them to a 4th grade level. After passing tests, they enter government schools. Most of them become Christians, including their parents. Wonderful changes happen in their lives. Help school children in urban slums by providing learning kits with textbooks, pencils, notebooks and New Testaments.
Poor Indian women often lack skills to earn livings. Women evangelists share the gospel and teach them to sew, increasing family incomes. Machines are foot or hand operated. Through one sewing machine, you can change whole families.
School children in the slums need shelter from elements. Sturdy army tents spare building costs and vandalism by gospel enemies. They can be opened or closed according to the weather. Tents hold 100-200 children and serve as places of worship where many people are turning to Christ.
Winter nights in north India's urban slums approach freezing. Most families cannot afford even cheap blankets. At a low cost, you can provide warm wool blankets.
