Intercessors for India started on 11 October, 1995, officially inaugurated by Pastor T.S. Abraham at India Bible College.
The goal of Intercessors for India (IFI) is to enlist prayer partners for specific pin (zip) codes in India. Prayer partners commit themselves to pray until a strong Spirit-filled church is established in each pin (zip) code. Since 1995, thousands of individuals and churches in India and around the world have committed themselves to pray for pin (zip) codes all over India.
This is a long-term commitment that may take months or years. In most cases, Indian zip codes have few if any Christians. There is much spiritual preparation that must take place before an evangelist can even visit the area. These areas have been without gospel influence for centuries and need a strong movement of the Holy Spirit. This involves strong and sustained prayer. Through prayer, God calls His servants, prepares and sends them. He prepares the hearts of people and draws them to Himself. Those who respond receive nurture and gain maturity that includes a desire to share the gospel that saved them. All this may take years of persistent praying and great patience, but keep in mind the blessed results.

1. Pray for God to work in your pin (zip) code, to make the people there all God intends them to be.
2. Pray that God will prepare the people in your pin (zip) code to receive the Good News that comes through Jesus Christ.
3. Pray that God will raise an evangelist to plant a church in your pin (zip) code.
4. Pray for finances to send and support evangelists to your pin (zip) code.
5. Pray for a spiritually mature, dynamic church to be planted and flourish in your pin (zip) code.
